Job Description

Rhenus Group is hiring a Data Analyst for a full-time permanent opportunity based in Johannesburg, with partial mobile working available. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Power BI, MS Fabric, SQL, Python, Spark, BI reporting, ETL processes, data pipelines and dashboard development. The successful candidate will support business intelligence reporting, data integration, dashboard development and BI system optimisation.

Minimum Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, or in a similar technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, Python, and Apache Spark.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Good understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and database management.
• Ability to integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and business teams.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate will be an advantage.

Responsibilities 

• Designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports to track business performance.
• Creating visualizations for key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
• Integrating data from various systems into a central reporting platform.
• Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting solutions.
• Developing and maintaining ETL processes and automated data pipelines.
• Optimizing Power BI and Microsoft Fabric environments for performance and scalability.
• Implementing new business intelligence tools and technologies when needed.
• Supporting data scientists and analysts by preparing clean and reliable datasets.
• Monitoring and improving the overall BI infrastructure.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
